Led Zeppelin Live Aid 1985 Complete - Rock n Roll - Whole Lotta Love - Stairway to Heaven - Stereo

This is the complete performance from Live Aid on July 13, 1985 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. This was not included in the official DVD release due to the band's objection to the quality of their performance. For many fans, seeing the surviving members of Led Zeppelin perform together after the untimely passing of their drummer, was nothing short of a dream come true. Originally uploaded as i...

Not my best work. Thanks to the original poster of this vid. The audio has been upgraded to stereo & punched up a little. The Who had difficulty that night using borrowed amps & couldn't quite get their trademark sound to come through, resulting in a tinny-sounding set. Notice Keith having his snare drum restored after the song was finished.

A Russ Ballard-penned tune. The audio was replaced. Best viewed in HQ with headphones on or really good speakers..

Great performance from the "Rockshow" concert film. Thanks to JimmyMcCullochFan for suggesting this one. Re-proportioned this video for 1.85:1 ratio, & toned down the colors a bit. Linda's keyboards are audible on this audio mix, but excludes the "Cheers" salute at the end.

Great performance from the "Rockshow" concert film. Thanks to JimmyMcCullochFan for suggesting this one. Re-proportioned the video for 1.33:1 ratio, slight adjustment to brightness/contrast, replaced the audio (but has some dropouts). At least the audio is complete - Jimmy's chops are clearer on this, & you can hear Paul salute & say "Cheers" at the end.

From Daltrey's Solo album released in 1975, this Russ Ballard tune was one of three recorded for this collection. The audio has been upgraded & the colors have been toned down so everyone's face isn't orange. For best results, watch in HQ & listen with headphones on (or through really good speakers!)

The Loudest Band in the World sing bout what makes a man a man. Inserted the audio from "View From a Backstage Pass" & toned down the colors just a bit. For best results, watch in HQ with headphones on (or really good speakers!)

Led Zeppelin's infamous return to the stage in Philadelphia's JFK Stadium in July 1985 to support Bob Geldof's international "Live Aid" event to bring relief to the Ethiopian famine. Introduced by Phil Collins, the band takes to the stage with Tony Thompson on drums & Collins tagging along. Part 3: The Led Zeppelin reunion takes flight on the Stairway, & carries with them 90,000 along for the r...

This is Part 2: Led Zeppelin at Live Aid Continues... Any requests? Whatta Whole Lotta Love!! This clip has been cleaned up: the green hues from the 20 yr old tape has been removed, the brightness & contrast have been balanced out. The audio has been synchronized to the FM broadcast captured on an old cassette tape. That audio was pretty messed up & had lots of dropouts, hopefully the results a...

Found this while lurking WHO-related links. The picture was a bit squashed so I re-proportioned it. The audio was atrocious, so I re-synced it using the track found on the "Then & Now" compilation. Notice how the stereo mix is similar in style to how Beatles' stereo LPs were being done at the time, with voices coming out of one speaker & the backing track coming out of the other. The question i...

This is to show the performance in the proper dimensions. I punched up the music & re-balanced the contrast, but the original file was very pixelated.

i wonder why the live aid youtube channel didn't include the Led zeppelin in their videos :-/
1 Phil Collins + 1 Tony Thompson = John Bonham
Thank you ❤ for the work you put in to this, great job! One of this old womans favorite songs throughout a long old Rock-n-Roll life. Almost 47 yrs. ago & still resonates on this day of 5/20/24. Again, thank you, God bless. -Roxie
He looks so pitiful. How sad.
Una embarrada de muy alto nivel. Phill Colins en la batería.
Super!!!!
Page was certainly no Hendrix. Even when 8-miles high Jimi would have taken the perfomance somewhere other than cliché.
He visto a Jimmy peor 😂
You know Ed was watching this!
2024 🎉
1:22 ❤ esse sorriso
If you listen to this, then listen to the album, you can hear the drums are off.
Wow! This is so awful! Jimmy's playing is absolutely off. Plant's look at 1:20 during the arpeggios is great. Page sounds like a beginner trying to play the solo from Stairway (especially at 7:00 to 7:15, embarrassing!). Rhythmically, melodically and dramaturgically (!) simply badly done. At 8:47 he also lost his guitar pick. The DX synth that imitates the flutes is quite wrong. The bass is not in sync with the guitar (most of the time, in particular 5:15-). On Whole lotta love on live aid, even the Les Paul is out of tune. It hurts the ears. Phil Collins can't help it, with Clapton beforehand you realise that he can play and he will have prepared himself, but with the other Zeppelins, nothing was right that day. Robert Plant's vocals are just about okay, but certainly not brilliant. I only like the reworking of the material! Thank you! Good work!
Let them roll
Simplesmente épico maravilha pura!
He don't need the stairway to heaven but he just want to buy the stairway to heaven

Best Event Oldies Song Since 1970 , Stairway To Heaven Still Bring His Power To Brought All To Heaven , - God Bless All, .... Cheerio.*****.
JE later overdosing heart attack where we lost another great bass guitarist
One of my favorite mostly who songs. Was so sad when Keith died senselessly
With all due respect, five Phil Collins is still only half of one John Bonham.
Phil Collins.,....
LSD ZEPPELIN
High or not...still a great performance ❤
Yes indeed❤
Well, wow
and when the band your in starts playing different tunes. F**k I love this song but it wound up going off the rails like a crazy train.
Plant was absolute shite ! .... phil collins was garbage ....Pagey was off his head ...high .....an awful performance of a bona fide rock classic
Robert Plant, drunk and croaking like a frog. He already sounds out of tune already when he says "Good Evening"; Jimmy Page, dope and traveling, making "Noise & Roll"; Tony Thompson, at his own, without trying to go together with Phil Collins, out of pure jealousy. Only John Paul Jones and Phil Collins did what they had to do. And Jimmy Page's drug addict blames Phil Collins for his and Robert Plant's disastrous performance. They should feel ashamed of themselves, just as we music fans and followers of Led Zeppelin have felt ashamed of them. They should erect a monument to Phil Collins, who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in "Concorde" to save this performance, at the end of his in London, without even passing by his house, because it can be seen that he was wearing the same clothes as in England. Brave, very brave, Phil!
What happened to Music 2024?
perdant, quam olim fuit!
No conocía esta actuación. Pésimo sonido.
Jimmy mezza pippa non e' capace di suonare il solo come fa in studio che magari non lo suona neanche lui visto come e' perfetto
Didnt that live aid money end up funding blm....mansions as the other folks got ...?
That comment I laugh at that one cause it's true caro😢g
And in our life time we'll have a stairway to heaven amen 😅
Sure did does anyone out there remember laughter 😜
By the way I was the one that responded to that last text carol g😅 thank you yall are great keep in touch with me😅 carol g 😊💞
Yeah you said it luv that right on 😅
Só a risadinha do Plant já entregou que o outro já está no céu muito chapado.
Rest in peace Judy mauldin.
Oke from intelektual, I painted you bought it.
Wtf is wrong with the bass?
The drums, the first guitar and the voice did not match... out of rhythm, the singer was hoarse, the other was completely drugged and did not play well... A terrible show.
ugh.
back again
I wich was there.😊❤
They sounded like garbage at this show and they knew it. All of the band members expressed their displeasure with it. But by this point, fans just wanted to see Zeppelin back on stage, and they didn't care how they sounded.
Entwhistle is wonderful here
